Amphomul

Bharat Serums & Vaccines ltd offers a wide range of critical care products which includes amphomul. Category: anti-fungal. Indication: visceral leishmaniasis (kala azar) febrile neutropenia in cancer patients. It is a sterile, yellow coloured liquid for intravenous infusion containing amphotericin B suspended in an oil-in-water emulsion available in 50 mg/10 ml preparation. it is a proprietory product of BSV and has various formulation patents (U.S., Europe, South Africa, Japan, Australia etc.) The major goal of developing ABLE has been to attain a novel AmB preparation with lower toxicity and with at least similar efficacy compared to the parent compound, amphotericin B deoxycholate, at an economic price so that its benefits can be extended to the masses.
