Auridol is glycerol-based ear drop formulation with lidocaine designed to provide relief from ear pain, swelling and irritation. It supports ear canal hygiene, helps soften and remove ear wax and contributes to improved comfort in conditions associated with outer ear inflammation. Indication: Otitis externa is a type of inflammation that usually affects the eardrum, auricle and external auditory canal. Typical symptoms include fever, heiring impairment, throbbing pain spreading to the jaw and neck, swelling and blockage of the ear canal. Inflammation may be caused by bacteria, viral or fungal infection. Adults and children older that 6 months: 2 drops in both ears, up to three times daily

As a hygroscopic contained in Auridol glycerol draws water from swollen tosses (osmotic effect) thereby reducing swelling and reliving pain. The glycerol contained in Auridol softness earwax and helps remove it. Thanks to its water-binding properties, it removes excess fluid from tissues of the ear canal (osmotic effect), thus eliminating symptoms of ear inflammation such as pain and swelling.
