Bempedoic Acid

Bempedoic Acid
Product Description

Bempedoic Acid inhibits ATP citrate lyase, acts upstream of HMG-CoA reductase in the cholesterol synthesis pathway, lowers endogenous cholesterol and reduces elevated LDL-C levels by up-regulating the LDL receptor, mitigating muscle-related side effects. Unlike statins, which are currently the mainstay of lipid-lowering, beperidolac has no toxic side effects such as myalgia observed in clinical trials, and is safe and well-tolerated in patients with statin intolerance, thus it is expected to rewrite the existing lipid-regulating treatment landscape.
