Cloperastine is primarily a centrally acting cough suppressant used for non-productive cough. It also has some antihistaminic action. The hydrochloride has been given by mouth as tablets in usual doses of 10 to 20 mg three times daily. Cloperastine fendizoate is used in oral liquid preparations in equivalent doses.
