Product Description

  • Self-MicroEmulsifying Drug Delivery System (SMEDDS) technology, can be applied with candidates of BCS class II, III, and IV small molecules that are difficult to absorb in oral form, or applied with peptide/protein (OralPAS Pro®)
  • The oral form enhances drug absorption through structural or fluidty changes in intestinal membrane. Once platform is exposed to the fluids of gastrointestinal (GI) tract, peptide/protein drug, surfactant and co-solvent are released from granules, and spontaneously emulsify to form very fine globules (size, 100-200 nm) which entrap peptide/protein drug in the nanoemulsion droplet core against enzyme degradation and enhance permeability
  • Anhydrous system (or microemulsion preconcentrate) can be used in a liquid or solid dosage form
  • Increases solubility and dissolution of the drug
  • Provides longer period of storage for drugs
