Gamma and E-beam radiation resistant polypropylene

The phthalate-free polypropylene grades Repsol Healthcare® HPR35RMD (Random Copolymer of MFR 35g/10min) and HPP55RMD (Homopolymer of MFR 55 g/10'), have been specifically designed to resist E-beam, Gamma and X-Ray radiation. These grades also present outstanding optical properties.
Their special additivation package make them especially suitable in applications where radiation sterilization is required.  Repsol Healthcare® HPR35RMD and HPP55RMD resist dosages of 25kGy and 50kGy respectively ensuring that the mechanical properties of the polymer remain unaltered.

In terms of optical properties, higher dosages of 50 kGy for HPR35RMD and 75kGy for HPP55RMD can be used without affecting the aesthetic properties.
