GENTAMICIN SULPHATE

Gentamicin binds to the 30S ribosomal subunit to cause code errors, blocking the transfer of peptidyl-tRNA(peptidyl-tRNA) from the receiving position to the donor point. The bactericidal effect of gentamicin on Pseudomonas depends on binding to the outer membrane part of the cell membrane to replace the existing cations, making the membrane unstable and forming cavities on the cell surface. Antibacterial spectrum: Gram-negative bacteria, Staphylococcus aureus and other Gram-positive bacteria.
