It is indicated for the extended adjuvant treatment of adult patients with early-stage HER2-positive breast cancer following adjuvant trastuzumab-based therapy.
By covalently binding to the tyrosine kinase domain of EGFR, HER2 and HER4, neratinib blocks downstream signaling pathways, thereby inhibiting the proliferation of HER-overexpressing tumor cells and reducing the risk of cancer recurrence.
