Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate / Emtricitabine is a fixed-dose antiviral combination used in the management of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection and, where approved, for HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis. Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate and emtricitabine are nucleotide/nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors that act by inhibiting viral reverse transcriptase and reducing viral replication. The product is available as 200 mg / 245 mg film-coated tablets in packs of 30 tablets, providing a single-tablet combination option for appropriate antiviral treatment regimens according to local prescribing information.
