IML Dosing device

The term 'in mould labeling' is directly derived from the technique: a preprinted polypropylene (PP) label is placed in a mould. This mould has the shape of the end product, e.g. the shape of a measuring cup or a dosing spoon. Then the molten PP is added to the mould. It fuses with the label, and while curing, takes the shape of the mould. Result: label and packaging become one! Everything happens in one step. But The IML-process is extremely accurate and requires the intervention of experienced craftsmen.
The decoration is thus an integral part of the device. The cup can be now colorful, interesting and attractive, with always a certified precision. It can also have really interesting specificities as oxygen or light barrier, counterfeiting protection, CE mark...
