Metoprolol Succinate Extended-Release Tablets is a beta 1-selevitve adrenoceptor blocking agent, which can  reduce heart rate, myocardial contractility, blood pressure, antagonize the toxicity of catecholamine adreneric transmitters, and has good cardiovascular protection. It is widely used in cardiovascular diseases such as hypertension, coronary heart disease, angina pectoris, chronic heat failure and myocardial infarction.
