Mexarithm

Borshchahivskiy cpp (bcpp) offers a wide range of medicinal products which includes mexarithm. Active ingredients: it is a 1b class antiarrhythmic agent. Mexiletine, like lidocaine, inhibits the inward sodium current. It has membrane stabilizing and local anaesthetic properties. Mexiletine reduces the depolarization rate and automaticity of pacemaker cells, conduction velocity in his-purkinje fibers, slightly reduces the effective refractory period and more duration of action potential (ap), increases the ratio of effective refractory period to action potential (ap) duration. Mexiletine has no apparent hemodynamic effects. Indications: it is indicated in the treatment of documented ventricular arrhythmias, such as sustained ventricular tachycardia, extrasystole. Because of the proarrhythmic effects of mexarithm, its use with lesser arrhythmias is generally not recommended. Treatment of patients with asymptomatic ventricular premature contractions should be avoided. Initiation of mexarithm treatment, as with other antiarrhythmic agents used to treat life-threatening arrhythmias, should be carried out in the hospital. Contact us for more information.
