Nicotinamide riboside chloride (NR-CL) is white odorless powder, and it is the salt form of nicotinamide riboside (NR). NR is the derivative of vitamin B3, and it functions as a precursor to nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide or NAD+.

Because NR is very unstable under room temperature, its salt form is produced for longer shelf life. The the most common salt form is nicotinamide riboside chloride (NR-CL), and NR-CL still has the same performance as NR.

Stuties show that nicotinamide riboside can be converted to NAD+ and increase the NAD+ level, and NAD+ is a coenzyme that plays an important role in DNA repair and cells energy metabolism. Nicotinamide riboside may have antioxidant and anti-aging properties, and it may support liver health and brain health, improve immunity, and reduce blood glucose.
