SIBOSOLV ®

SIBOSOLV® is a food supplement formulated to support intestinal microbiota balance and normal gastrointestinal function, with particular attention to alterations associated with microbial overgrowth in the small intestine. The formulation combines N-acetylcysteine (NAC), Berberis aristata standardized to 85% berberine, sodium butyrate, deodorized garlic standardized in allicin, and Microlix®, a complex based on essential oils of Cinnamon, Thyme, and Tea Tree. N-acetylcysteine has been investigated for its ability to interfere with the extracellular matrix of microbial biofilms. Berberine, a natural alkaloid found in Berberis aristata, has been widely studied for its effects on the gut microbiota and its role in supporting gastrointestinal function. Butyrate is a short-chain fatty acid physiologically produced through bacterial fermentation in the intestine and represents an important energy substrate for intestinal epithelial cells, contributing to the maintenance of intestinal barrier integrity. Garlic, through its sulfur-containing compounds including allicin, complements the formulation together with Microlix®, which combines selected essential oils characterized by the presence of bioactive aromatic compounds. The gastro-resistant capsule formulation has been designed to promote ingredient release at intestinal level while protecting them from the gastric environment. SIBOSOLV® therefore represents a multi-target approach, combining in a single formulation selected substances intended to support the intestinal ecosystem and normal gastrointestinal physiology.
