Smart hearing health

Smart hearing health
Product Description

TympaHealth, one of our start-up clients, launched the world’s first all-in-one hearing health assessment system, a portable smartphone-enabled otoscope with accompanying smartphone app. Since then, the novel device has been awarded Gold in the internationally recognised UX Design Awards for its innovative design and user experience, along with a Good Design Award and an iF Design Award.

TympaHealth approached us with a vision to change hearing healthcare, utilising digital health technology and a user-friendly design. We took their initial prototype through two stages of development by applying user feedback gained during use of a first generation ‘pilot’ system. We identified and introduced new features whilst optimising usability and handling for a second generation ‘commercial’ system. Within 15 months we achieved the industrialisation and CE marking of this Class I medical device, compliant with the MDR.
