Sodium hyaluronate injection

M-Visc Ortho 1.0% is a sterile, non-pyrogenic, transparent viscoelastic preparation of highly purified, non-inflammatory,high molecular weight fraction of sodium hyaluronate. M-Visc Ortho 1.0% contains 10mg/ml of sodium hyaluronate E.P.dissolved in physiological sodium phosphate buffer (pH 6.8-7.6). This polymer consists of repeating disaccharideunits of and sodium glucuronate linked by ß l3 and ß 1-4 glycosidic bonds.
Sodium Hyaluronate is similar to a substance that occurs naturally in joints and that helps joints work properly by acting like a lubricant and shock absorber.
