ScinoPharm To Supply Antidepressant API
The leading process R&D and API manufacturing service provider ScinoPharm will provide commercial manufacturing service of vilazodone hydrochloride active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) for Clinical Data, Inc.
ScinoPharm, a leading active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) and contract research and manufacturing (CRAM) service provider to the global pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, has been selected by Clinical Data, Inc. to provide the manufacture of vilazodone hydrochloride API for Viibryd, a recently FDA-approved antidepressant.
Viibryd is for the treatment of adults with major depressive disorder (MDD). The drug is different from other antidepressants in that it does not cause significant weight gain or interference with sexual function.
