A needle revolution: An innovative syringe designed to be used with only one hand and to reduce the risk of needle-stick injuries

Aghetto S.r.l. is a start up owner of the technology for an innovative syringe, designed to be used with only one hand and to reduce the risk of needle-stick injuries.

The Aghetto syringe needs only one hand to detach the cap from the needle and the needle from the body of syringe. The other hand is free and can be used for other tasks (e.g. holding a medication’s vial or a venous/arterious cannula, disinfecting, or - in veterinary medicine - to hold still the pet).

The Aghetto syringe is easy to use (just turn a tiny wheel) and to produce (just add a tiny wheel to the common syringe during the assembly process).

It is an international patent (Europe, China, USA, Canada, Russia, Brazil, Australia, Israel, South Korea, Japan, India, Hong Kong, South Africa and other countries).

We are available to sell or license the patent.

Needle stick injuries - which are a serious problem within health care systems worldwide - can transmit over 20 blood-born pathogens and infections (HIV, HBV, HCV, Malaria, Ebola and others).
