This year’s focus covered opportunities for generics, supergenerics, biosimilars and establishing Turkey as the manufacturing hub of the region. The conference alo included updates on the Middle East & North Africa market and the Russia, CIS and emerging markets.

CPHI Istanbul concluded with an overview of API sourcing strategies and successfull technology transfers to CMO partners. The quality of the presentations and sessions was extremely high, with positive feedback already received from industry delegates and visitors, having enhanced their experience on site with essential local knowledge and meeting future partners.

Hande Yilmaz, Marketing Manager, UBM Istanbul, commented: “As the seventh largest market in Europe, and 16th largest globally, Turkey is firmly placed on the pharmaceutical map. More and more companies are looking to break into what is a dynamic and reforming market and CPHI Istanbul provides the essential platform to facilitate this. The event successfully brought together both domestic and international buyers and suppliers and has, undoubtedly, contributed to the continued expansion of one of the fastest growing regions of the pharmaceutical industry. I very much look forward to returning for next year’s event to provide an even bigger edition, particularly as the next few years are predicted to be a very exciting time for the Turkish pharma market”.
