Marchesini Acquires Pharma & Cosmetic Packaging Technology from PRB
The acquisition will enable Marchesini to offer complete lines for pharmaceutical and cosmetic packaging. Marchesini expects to begin manufacturing machines based on PRB technology later this year.
Italy's packaging equipment business Marchesini Group S.p.A. has announced the acquisition of the pharmaceutical and cosmetic division of PRB S.p.A.
The acquisition includes technology for the secondary packaging (wrappers, case packers, cartoners and palletisers) of pharmaceutical and cosmetic products, and will enable Marchesini to offer complete lines for pharmaceutical and cosmetic packaging.
Maurizio Marchesini, chief executive of Marchesini Group, said: ‘PRB has very good core technology; we see this as a great opportunity to be able to provide our worldwide customers with complete and integrated lines supported by world class parts, services and technical support.’
