Aminoverse's novel biocatalyst kit for hydroxylation

Product examples for reaction with the KGO Biocarbon enzyme panel

BioCarbon KGO Enzyme Panel for hydroxylation of fatty acids, terpenes, alkaloids, and steroids

Which biocatalysts? KGO stands for Fe(II)-alpha-ketoglutarate-dependent Oxygenases, also abbreviated as 2OGs or αKGDs , are prone to react on non-activated C-H bonds and have a natural preference for metabolic compounds. The most frequent reaction is hydroxylation, but the enzymes are also capable of cyclopropanation and halogenation. KGOs react at ambient temperatures and pressure, utilizing alpha-ketoglutarate and O2 as cosubstrates for regio- and stereoselective modification.
What the curate KGOs can do for you:
- Modification of hormones
- Synthesis of drug precursors
- Development of bioactive agrochemicals

Advantages of the BioCarbon Kit:
- Enabling chemically challenging reactions

- Increased hit chances with a curated enzyme selection
- Speeds up R&D with a ready-to-screen format
