Arran Chemical Company celebrates 40 successful years in business

Twenty-million-euro investment by Almac Group triples chemical company’s revenues and innovative services

Originally founded in 1984 by Dr Anthony Owens, Almac acquired the company in 2015 to combine its biocatalysis and flow chemistry expertise with Arran’s large-scale manufacturing capacity to improve production processes while enhancing sustainability.

Arran has grown significantly under Almac’s ownership – having invested over €20 million to date, revenues have more than tripled and employee numbers have grown from 45 to 125 people. Further planned facility and capacity expansions will support growth and meet future client demands.
