Chime Biologics at Bio Equity Europe 2026

At this year’s BIO Equity Europe discussions held in Prague, Czech Republic earlier this month, one message resonated consistently across presentations, panels, and investor conversations: the global biotechnology industry is entering a new era defined by artificial intelligence, accelerated innovation efficiency, and strategic global collaboration.

Representing Chime Biologics, Board Director and CEO Jimmy Wei shared the company’s vision in a featured presentation titled “Turning AI into Biologics Reality”, highlighting how Chime Biologics is integrating China’s rapidly advancing AI ecosystem into end-to-end biologics development and manufacturing capabilities.

At BIO Equity Europe 2026, Jimmy delivered a speech highlighting that artificial intelligence is transforming the biologics industry at an unexpectedly rapid speed. He referred to China’s "DeepSeek Moment" in 2025, a milestone marking the explosive growth of AI across China’s tech sector. Within just one year, AI has expanded from software and computing to real industrial scenarios, thoroughly changing the whole process of biologic drug discovery, development and manufacturing. While AI can efficiently design potential molecular candidates, the industry still faces major hurdles in translating computational achievements into reliable lab tests, scalable CMC development and commercial production. To bridge this gap, Chime Biologics has built a comprehensive Chime AI Platform, covering AI-assisted protein design, cell line development, bioprocess optimization and digital manufacturing. By cooperating with top AI and biotech enterprises, the company has advanced more than 20 AI-discovered biologic molecules, several of which have entered clinical trials. The platform greatly shortens the development cycle: the traditional 24–33 months for discovery and IND-enabling CMC work is cut to merely 10.5 months. Besides, Chime Biologics has also rolled out advanced AI-powered ADC platform technologies to boost the research and production of oncology drugs. In the following panel discussion, global investors and biopharma executives agreed that China’s biotech industry has evolved from a fast follower into a key global innovation hub. Amid growing geopolitical uncertainties, biotech companies are in greater need of reliable, globally competent CDMO partners that can offer all-round support. It is widely acknowledged at the event that AI has become a practical industrial capability for biotechnology rather than a futuristic concept. Moving forward, Chime Biologics will continue to combine AI technologies, superior manufacturing capabilities and global collaboration to help worldwide biopharma clients accelerate R&D progress and reduce risks.
