NEW PILOT PLANT IN BUDAPEST FOCUSING ON IODINE BASED PRODUCTS
Vinyl Kft. is expanding and modernizing its Budapest pilot plant to boost innovation in iodine-based chemistry. The upgraded facility will support scalable production of iodine derivatives, enable advanced chemical processes, and foster collaboration opportunities.
Vinyl Kft. is proud to announce the expansion and modernization of its Budapest pilot plant, a strategic step to strengthen its position in specialty chemical development. The upgraded facility is expected to be completed by the end of 2025.
The renovated pilot plant will primarily focus on the production and development of iodine derivatives, including silver iodide, isopropyl iodide, iodine monochloride, potassium periodate and other specialty compounds. The facility, designed to comply with ATEX safety regulations, has capacities from 10 to 100 liters, enabling scalable experimentation and production.
Vinyl Kft aims to create a flexible, forward-thinking environment where inorganic, organic and electrochemical processes can be developed and refined. This investment reflects our commitment to innovation and our ability to respond to market demands.
The new pilot plant will be capable of handling a wide range of chemical and electrochemical operations, making it ideal for laboratory-scale technology development. With built-in capacity for future expansion, the facility is ready to adapt to emerging technologies and changing customer needs.
As part of this initiative, Vinyl Kft is actively seeking partnership and collaboration opportunities to align its capabilities with market requirements. We see a particularly exciting collaboration opportunity in the processing of iodine-containing by-products, where synergies can foster mutual growth.
