Biomay Austria: Scalable environmental monitoring with testo Saveris 1

Biomay, an Austrian biotechnology company, uses testo Saveris 1 to monitor critical environmental conditions across its production sites. The system supports the development, testing and manufacturing of plasmid DNA, recombinant proteins, mRNA and lipid nanoparticles for pharmaceutical partners.

When Biomay built a new production site, the scalable monitoring solution was expanded to cover additional rooms, cold storage cells, refrigeration equipment and cleanroom areas. Approximately 50 differential pressure transmitters were integrated into the monitoring platform for documentation and monitoring, while their analogue outputs were used by the building control system.

The validated monitoring infrastructure provides reliable environmental documentation, improved process transparency and the flexibility to add new applications as the company grows.
