Packaging of blood and blood components is one of the most demanding uses of flexible medical films and tubing. Meditalia Industriale offers the Solutran® Hemo, Solutran® HemoT and Solutran® Hemo Cryo platform – films, lay‑flat tubes, tubing and granules – developed specifically for blood bag systems, platelet and plasma sets, apheresis, therapeutic treatments and cryogenic applications

These PVC formulations are optimised for blood compatibility, stable 121 °C steam, EtO and gamma sterilisation, non‑blocking surfaces and anti‑kinking behaviour, and are available in DEHP and phthalate‑free versions (TEHTM, DEHT, DINCH). For cryogenic applications, the Solutran® Hemo Cryo range provides formulations including EVA for controlled‑rate freezing and long‑term storage of stem cells and other high‑value blood fractions.
