First-in-Class VEGFR2-Inhibiting Peptide Eye Drop for Wet Age-Related Macular Degeneration

Product Overview: A New Standard for Non-Invasive Retinal Therapy
CG-P5 is a first-in-class VEGFR2-inhibiting biomimetic peptide developed as a topical eye drop for the treatment of wet age-related macular degeneration (wAMD). Unlike conventional intravitreal anti-VEGF injections such as Eylea and Lucentis, CG-P5 delivers therapeutic effects through a non-invasive topical route, offering a different approach to retinal disease treatment.

CG-P5 has demonstrated clinically meaningful efficacy signals in a U.S. Phase 1 study, supporting its potential as an alternative or complement to existing injection-based therapies.

CG-P5 has received IND clearance from the U.S. FDA and is currently preparing for a Phase 2 clinical trial in the United States.
