Copovidone is a synthetic random copolymer consisting of N-Vinyl-2 Pyrolidone and vinyl acetate in a 60:40 ratio. Spray dried powder of this synthetic polymer is free flowing in nature and is water and alcohol-soluble. Copovidone has been developed for us as a binder in pharmaceutical tableting.
