colorless liquid, insoluble in water, soluble in most organic solvents such as ethanol and ether.Applicaion: This product is a solvent and is an intermediate for the production of dimethyl sulfoxide, methionine and pesticides. lt canbe used as a solvent for organic compounds, resins, inorganic compounds, polymerization reactions and cyanation reactions. Used asanalytical reagent, spinning of polyacrylonitrile and other synthetic fibers and hydraulic oil. lt can also be used as deodorant for citygas, industrial purifying agent, paint remover, low temperature preservaive for battery, pesticide penetrant, etc. Used topically in bloocmedicine, plant pathology and nutrition
