Femines

Femines vaginal suppositories contain four active ingredients which act synchronously for treatment of vaginal or vulvovaginal inflammatory conditions associated with protozoal or microbial infections. Metronidazole, the first ingredient in spectragyn, is an effective agent for the prophylaxis and treatment of vaginal protozoal infections as Trichomonas vaginalis. It also possesses bactericidal action on many anaerobic microorganisms such as Bacteroids spp., Gardnerella vaginalis, Mobiluncus spp. and Peptostreptococcus spp. Neomycin, the second ingredient in Femines, is an aminoglycoside antibiotic known by its highly effective bactericidal effect against a wide variety of Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria.
