Product Description

Mesalazine is an anti-inflammatory agent used in the management of inflammatory bowel disease, particularly ulcerative colitis. It acts locally in the intestinal mucosa to reduce inflammation and is available in rectal dosage forms for targeted treatment of distal colonic and rectal disease. The portfolio includes 250 mg suppositories in packs of 10 and 30, 500 mg suppositories in packs of 30, and a 4 g / 60 mL rectal suspension in packs of 7 units. The availability of different rectal formulations supports treatment according to disease location, severity and local prescribing information.
