Donepezil HCl / Memantine HCl is a fixed-dose combination used in the management of Alzheimer’s disease. It combines donepezil, an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor, with memantine, an NMDA receptor antagonist, providing complementary mechanisms of action for the management of cognitive symptoms. The extended-release hard capsule formulation is available in four strengths: 10 mg / 7 mg, 10 mg / 14 mg, 10 mg / 21 mg and 10 mg / 28 mg, each in packs of 28 capsules. The range of strengths supports gradual memantine dose titration and transition to maintenance therapy while maintaining a fixed donepezil dose, according to patient needs and local prescribing information.
