Nasal Spray Range (Fluticasone Furoate / Oxymetazoline / Mometasone / Azelastine)

Product Description

MECHANISM OF ACTION
This range covers two complementary drug classes used intranasally for rhinitis. Fluticasone furoate and mometasone furoate are trifluorinated/synthetic corticosteroids with high glucocorticoid receptor affinity, suppressing histamine, prostaglandins, leukotrienes and cytokines to reduce nasal mucosal inflammation. Azelastine is a intranasal H1-antihistamine that blocks histamine receptors directly, giving fast symptomatic relief distinct from the corticosteroids' slower anti-inflammatory action. The oxymetazoline combination adds rapid alpha-adrenergic vasoconstriction for fast-onset decongestion.

THERAPEUTIC INDICATIONS
1.Seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis
2.Nasal congestion associated with allergic rhinitis (combination product)
3.Fast-onset symptom relief (antihistamine component)
4.Adjunct in chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps, where approved
