    MECHANISM OF ACTION
    Vonoprazan is a potassium-competitive acid blocker (P-CAB) that reversibly and competitively inhibits the H+/K+-ATPase (proton pump) in gastric parietal cells by blocking potassium binding. Unlike conventional PPIs, it requires no acid activation, giving rapid onset and sustained acid suppression for up to 24 hours without meal-timing dependency.

    THERAPEUTIC INDICATIONS
    1. Erosive oesophagitis / GERD
    2. Non-erosive reflux disease
    3. H. pylori eradication (as part of triple/dual therapy)
    4. Peptic ulcer disease (gastric and duodenal)
    5. Prevention of NSAID/low-dose aspirin-induced peptic ulcers
