HPMCP (Hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose Phthalate) is an Enteric Coating material used to protect drugs from degradation by gastric acid or to protect gastric mucosa from irritating drugs. Shin-Etsu offers various HPMC Phthalate grades with different pH solubilities and viscosities.

L-HPC is a multifunctional excipient, problem solver, and disintegrant due to its swelling capability in water. Various grades of L-HPC are available from Shin-Etsu. Typical applications include Capping Prevention, Direct Compression, and Wet Granulation.
