Nearly 300 Vaccines Being Developed by US Biopharma
A report reveals that there are nearly 300 vaccines in clinical testing or under FDA review at the current time in the US.
Biopharmaceutical companies in the US are currently working on nearly 300 vaccines for the prevention and treatment of diseases, a new report shows.
The Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) said that this includes 170 vaccines for infectious diseases, 102 for cancer and eight for neurological disorders.
All of the vaccines in question are undergoing clinical testing or are currently being reviewed by the US Food and Drug Administration.
John Castellani, president and chief executive officer of PhRMA, said: "Vaccines are one of the greatest achievements of biomedical science and public health.
