Newtricious appoints first supervisory board

Natural ingredients specialised nutrition company Newtricious has appointed its first supervisory board.

Natural ingredients specialised nutrition company Newtricious has appointed its first supervisory board.

The supervisory board will be closely involved in strategic planning and direction of scientific research and corporate policy and will, from within its network, offer Newtricious support with regard to the internationalisation of product concepts.

The Supervisory Board comprises the following members:
 

  •     Ir. Jan Zuidam (Chairman)
  •     Prof. Dr. Wim van Gelder
  •     Ir. Jan van der Hoeven
  •     Drs. Susan Swarte RC
  •     Prof. Ir. Ena Vôute


Jan Zuidam (Chairman) started his career at DSM Research in Geleen in 1973, returning to DSM Research as director in 1992 and retired in 2010 as vice chairman of the managing board. He is currently chairman of the Limburgse Werkgevers Vereniging [Limburg Employers Association] LWV.

Professor Wim van Gelder is an internationally renowned scientist and R&D manager. As well as being author of numerous scientific and application-oriented publications, he also has a seat on a number of important national and international advisory committees.

Jan van der Hoeven won the 1984 European Environmental Mutagen Society EEMS Award for his research into the link between diet and cancer. He set up VitrOmics, a company that specialises in genomics in 2004.

Susan Swarte has extensive experience in financial and strategic management. She worked for Unilever and Numico (a Danone subsidiary), and has been CFO of the Dutch biopharmaceutical company OctoPlus since 2009.

Ena Vôute worked for Unilever during the 1990s, where she developed global brand and marketing strategies. Over the past nine years she held a number of global positions at Philips and has been head of the Industrial Design Department at the Delft University of Technology.
