PhRMA Launches New Website to Showcase the Latest Data & Research on Innovation in the Biopharma Industry
The new website — the Innovation Hub — is accessible via www.Innovation.org and provides easy access to PhRMA resources related to the R&D process, the biopharmaceutical pipeline, and progress fighting diseases such as hepatitis C, Alzheimer’s, leukemia, cancer and HIV/AIDS.
This new resource features:
• New video on cumulative innovation: This video, “Cumulative steps, big gains for patients,” demonstrates how advances in treating debilitating diseases are usually the result of an accumulation of knowledge and research over time, rather than a single breakthrough in treatment.
• New infographic highlighting progress against hepatitis C: "New Hope for Patients with Hepatitis C,” highlights the value of new hepatitis C medicines that are curing 90% of patients and helping to prevent billions of dollars in hospitalizations and other medical costs to treat patients with the disease.
• Interactive timeline on great moments in medical innovation: Take a look at great moments in medical innovation — from the discovery of penicillin to the first polio vaccine to the mapping of the human genome.
• Slide show on progress against rheumatoid arthritis: See how medicines are improving the lives of patients with rheumatoid arthritis.
