Sartorius Stedim Biotech launches Integrated Solutions online resource center
New website will support clients in developing and implementing entire single-use bioprocesses.
Sartorius Stedim Biotech has launched its Integrated Solutions website, an online resource and information centre to support its clients as they develop and implement entire single-use or hybrid biomanufacturing processes.
The new website is designed to assist clients in the implementation of flexible, scalable and cost-efficient bioprocesses by utilizing the tools, technologies, support and expertise available from Sartorius Stedim Biotech. To allow clients to better understand the effectiveness with which Integrated Solutions can be applied to their bioprocesses a comprehensive portfolio of case studies are available from companies such as Boehringer Ingelheim, Wuxi AppTec, Mabion, DMBio and Bayer.
The biopharmaceutical industry is being forced to adapt to changing and challenging market conditions. Reducing costs and increasing process optimization are becoming increasingly important due to pressures from healthcare providers and competition from biosimilars. Sartorius Stedim Biotech’s new Integrated Solutions website describes how the company addresses these challenges through partnering with clients to design and develop entire single-use and hybrid processes for the manufacture of biopharmaceuticals. Process development activities are coordinated by a team of process development consultants utilizing an array of technologies and software tools while the design and engineering of the large-scale bioprocess is performed by a separate, dedicated team that have successfully completed over 100 fully single-use projects.
Ensuring clients benefit from the shortest time to market, Sartorius Stedim Biotech is using the Integrated Solutions website to showcase its new ‘mAb Process Platform’. The new platform is a result of the company’s innovative ‘Process4Success’ initiative which seeks to leverage both novel single-use processing technologies and the expertise within the organization to define sequences of unit operations that can be combined to create an entire bioprocess line.
Multiple client testimonials are available on the new resource center describing how the Integrated Solutions approach has already been successfully applied to a number of diverse collaborative projects. For example, speaking of a recent collaboration between Sartorius Stedim Biotech and Boehringer Ingelheim, Jan Feuser (Head of Clinical Supply Facility Downstream at Boehringer Ingelheim) said: “The ability to work across different sites at a global scale with one Boehringer Ingelheim project team and one Sartorius project team, truly enabled the success of the project.“
