The BioThrust UniThruster is an easy-to-install micro-sparger for boosting the gas transfer (OTR) in bioprocesses. Using a unique 3D-printing technology, it possesses a very porous structure that create extremely fine-pearly bubbles. Combined with its aeration across the whole reactor width, it increases gas transfer rates compared to conventional spargers by up to +200%, particularly at low stirring rates. It is thus ideally suited for oxygen-demanding processes.
The UniThruster is reusable, can be autoclaved and can easily be retrofitted in existing bioreactor systems. It possesses a even pore distribution and is certified as non-cytotoxic.
