DAOFOOD PLUS

DAOfood® Plus is a Food for Special Medical Purposes (EU) / Food Supplement (non-EU) whose main active ingredient is the DiAmine Oxidase enzyme or DAO.  The amount of DAO contained in DAOfood® Plus complements the body's own enzyme, strengthening the histamine's degradation and facilitating the metabolism of food histamine locally in the small intestine, restoring the natural balance of histamine and DAO. 

DAOfood® Plus is used in the dietary management of DAO deficiency and its associated pathologies when the predominant symptoms are digestive disorders, hangover, atopy, fibromyalgia and generalized muscular pain.

DAOfood® Plus Eficaps® capsules contain gastro-resistant pellets with DAO controlled-release in the intestine that prevent stomach acid pH and pellets with immediate release of active adjuvant ingredients: Quercetin, a known flavonoid with antihistamine properties and Vitamin C, an antioxidant component that strengthens the antihistamine effects of DAO and Quercetin.

The European Commission declared DAO as an "Authorized Novel Food" in 2018 • It is therefore a new product, registered in EU as a “Dietary Food for Special Medical Purposes” (FSMP), and in US as a “New Dietary Ingredient” (NDI) • Regulatory environment enables the company to benefit from multiple distribution channels for maximum market penetration
