1. Chelating stabilizers (for injection/oral solutions).It can chelate iron, copper, and heavy metal ions, preventing the oxidation and discoloration of drugs. It is commonly used in vitamin injection solutions, oral antibiotics, and syrup formulations to slow down the degradation of active ingredients.

2. pH buffer regulatorsCombine with weak acids to create a weakly alkaline buffer system, which stabilizes alkaloids, enzymes, and biological agents, preventing acid-base reactions that could deactivate them.

3. Solubilizing and emulsifying agentsImproves the solubility of poorly soluble drugs, reduces sedimentation, and is used in oral liquid formulations.
