The product SNEC30 (Self Nano Emulsifying Curcumin 30mg) is based on Indigenously developed drug delivery system for Curcumin by us in collaboration
with Jamia Hamdard University and support from Department of Science and
Technology, Government of India. We have been granted US Patent (US Patent No. US8835509) for the same.Curcumin is a
very high potential bio active derived from Curcuma
longa rhizomes (Haridra or Haldi) but the challenge is its negligible oral
bioavailability. Curcumin is metabolized to inactive forms in the enterocytes
and Hepatic First pass which makes it unavailable in blood plasma and at the
site of action.
