As a new feed additive, tetrabasic zinc chloride (TBZC) can increase the daily gain of weaned piglets, meanwhile reduce the diarrhea rate and improve the appearance of the fur.
It also can improve the performance of hens, and increase the amount of zinc in eggs.

Zinc powder (dust) has a strong reducibility and hydrogen is released with acid and alkali.
