The 2026 Pharmapack Awards, held January 21, 2026, celebrated and recognised leading companies in the pharmaceutical packaging sector paving the way for packaging and drug delivery excellence in the future. 

The Pharmapack Awards are an annual evening held on the show floor of Pharmapack, recognising the individuals, teams, and companies driving purposeful change and innovation in the packaging and drug delivery sector. Over four distinguished categories, the Awards are a time to connect and celebrate the achievements of all colleagues and peers working towards the same goal – delivering ideas that truly make an impact, and packaging progress for a healthier future. 

Eco-Design Award

Winners of the Eco-Design Award, Leca Farm, showcased their Smart Safe packaging solution at Pharmapack 2026, renewing its commitment to sustainability. Smart Safe sets a new benchmark in pharmaceutical packaging. Designed as a mono-material, all-in-one solution, it simplifies processes, lowers costs, and supports easier recycling. Bringing together innovation, sustainability, and efficiency, Smart Safe reflects the circular economy in action and responds to both current market needs and future challenges. 

Patient-Centric Design Award 

Winner: Ypsomed 

Product: YpsoLoop™: The prefilled autoinjector uniting sustainability and patient convenience 

The Patient-Centric Design Award recognised Ypsomed’s YpsoLoop™ autoinjector for its thoughtful approach to improving the experience and confidence of patients and caregivers alike. YpsoLoop is a pre-filled two-step autoinjector that uniquely unites ease of use with sustainability, designed around real needs in self-injection therapy. Built with ecodesign and circularity principles, it features two recyclable mono-material subassemblies and significantly lower CO₂ emissions compared to conventional devices — without compromising on performance. This award celebrates YpsoLoop’s success in placing patient convenience and care at the heart of innovation. 

Delivery and Device Innovation Award 

Winner: Abbott Healthcare 

Product: SmartDose™ — Redefining Precision in Granule Dosing 

SmartDose™ is an innovative smart dosing solution that reimagines how mesalamine is delivered to patients living with Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD), including Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn’s Disease. Designed to replace conventional fixed-dose sachets, SmartDose™ introduces a precision-engineered, metered multidose dispenser that enables accurate, flexible titration in 500 mg increments, supporting more personalised treatment regimens. 

Packaging Innovation Award 

Winner: Meadow 

Product: MEADOW KAPSUL™ packaging technology
