Packaging of pharmaceutical products and medical devices requires specific knowledge in areas such as packaging materials, packaging machinery, legislation, risk and safety. These topics are discussed during four three-hour online training sessions.

The course language is business English and the course is globally accessible; you can participate from any place you wish (without any travel costs). All you need to attend the online sessions are a computer, headset, adequate internet connection and the possibility/permission to connect to the system we use for our online learning modules.

The course is provided by a live tutor, located in the NVC studio. Your live tutor will answer all your questions during the sessions or afterwards.

On 24 and 25 January 2024, Pharmapack Europe will take place at Expo de Versailles, Hall 7.2 in Paris. NVC members (both exhibitors and visitors) will discuss the latest developments in pharmaceutical packaging with each other there. Thursday 25 January 2024 at 3 PM CET, we will organise an informal walk-in consultation on the upcoming new European Directive relating to medicinal products for human use.

On 8 November 2023, NVC provided official input on this Directive, with a special focus on packaging and how on-pack information should be designed and shared in the future. The consultation hour will take place at the exhibition's innovation pavilion, where NVC director Michael Nieuwesteeg will be present to address your possible questions and comments.

Association NVC was founded on 28 April 1953 and so at the next General Meeting of Members (GMM), on Thursday 30 November 2023, we will celebrate our 70th anniversary. The GMM combines two consecutive meetings: the Statutory Meeting and the Thematic Meeting.

The Thematic Meeting: Creativity Unpacked!
At the centre is the factor that every business and packaging professional absolutely needs in the coming year: Creativity. In doing so, we will make use of the latest developments in Artificial Intelligence.

We start with a unique keynote lecture by prof. Inald Lagendijk and and prof. Stefan Leijnen, probing into the future of Artificial Intelligence worldwide. Subsequently we will design the pharmaceutical packing-filling line of the future together....

On Tuesday 24 October 2023, NVC will be present at the CPHI Barcelona (Spain) scouting innovations in the field of packaging materials, machines and devices for the global healthcare sector. In total 65 innovations in these fields have been subjected to a judging process in which NVC has been closely involved. The ultimate winners will be announced in a spectacular Award Ceremony, that is held on the evening that day.

In any case, we look forward with enthusiasm to speaking with all NVC member companies again: both visitors and exhibitors, sometimes winners, sometimes not so.  

All results will be presented in the 14th annual meeting of the NVC international working group on Pharmaceutical Packaging Innovation, which will take place on 21 June 2024.
