    Sodium Taurocholate (NaTC) is the taurine conjugate of cholic acid, a water-soluble bile acid naturally produced in the liver of many animal species. As amphiphilic compound, the bile salt NaTC is used to improve the solubility, stability, permeation across biological membrane of drugs. Sodium Taurocholate is a versatile compound used across biotech, pharmaceutical, and life science fields:
    - Biochemical research – Solubilizes lipids and frees membrane-bound proteins for protein isolation
    - Microbiology – Key component in bacteriological culture media (e.g., MacConkey’s broth) 
    - Enzymology – Enhances lipase activity in enzyme assays and lipid metabolism studies
    - Pharmaceutical formulation – NaTC acts as stabilizer, solubilizer and permeation enhancer excipient, thus resulting as a bioavailability enhancer in the pharmaceutical formulation development in several routes of administration. - Dissolution testing (USP-recommended)
