News Addressing Iron deficiency anemia in Bangladesh
Anemia, a condition marked by reduced red blood cell or hemoglobin levels, affects over 1.92 billion people globally, with a particularly high prevalence in Bangladesh. This condition impedes oxygen delivery, leading to fatigue, weakness, and diminished physical productivity, contributing to economic challenges, especially in developing regions. Iron supplementation remains central to anemia management, yet traditional iron salts, such as ferrous sulfate and ferrous fumarate, often result in gastrointestinal discomfort, limiting patient adherence. Ferric citrate, with its improved bioavailability, enhanced gastrointestinal tolerance, and stability across varying pH levels, represents a promising alternative. Furthermore, ferric citrate offers additional benefits, such as reducing serum phosphate levels and binding uremic toxins, making it advantageous for populations with kidney disease and for pregnant women who require safer iron supplementation -

News Liposomal Glutathione: A breakthrough in cellular health by West Bengal chemical industries Ltd.
In an era where wellness and preventative healthcare dominate consumer priorities, Liposomal Glutathione emerges as a revolutionary product, offering unparalleled benefits in cellular health and disease prevention. Glutathione, often referred to as the "master antioxidant," is a tripeptide composed of glutamine, cysteine, and glycine. It plays a pivotal role in multiple biological processes, including detoxification of harmful substances, maintenance of the redox balance, and regulation of cellular proliferation and apoptosis. As a central player in protecting cells from oxidative damage caused by free radicals, glutathione is integral to preventing aging, inflammation, and various chronic diseases [1]. The production of glutathione within the body can decline due to factors such as aging, environmental toxins, poor diet, and chronic stress, leading to increased susceptibility to diseases. While dietary sources and supplements offer a way to replenish glutathione levels, conv... -
News Ferric Maltol of WBCIL: Optimized Absorption, Minimal Toxicity, And Sustainable Production for Chronic Iron Deficiency
Iron deficiency is the most common cause of anaemia globally. It is frequently reported in patients with underlying inflammatory conditions, such as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and chronic kidney disease (CKD). The treatment goals are to treat the underlying cause, limit further blood loss or malabsorption, avoid blood transfusions in haemodynamically stable patients, relieve symptoms, and improve quality of life [1]. Ferric maltol is a new oral iron replacement therapy designed to optimize iron absorption while reducing the gastrointestinal adverse events associated with unabsorbed free iron. Oral iron supplementation has been considered standard treatment because of its established safety profile, lower cost, and ease of administration [1]. Ferric maltol has been studied in clinical trials. It is approved for treating adults with iron deficiency with or without anaemia. It is well-tolerated over long-term treatment for up to 64 weeks; an important consideration in pati... -
