CPHI North America 2023: from the experts - Cambrex

Throughout CPHI North America (Philadelphia, PA; April 25–27, 2023), we caught up with some of the exhibiting organisations to ask what the show brings to the North American pharmaceutical sector, and what is driving industry innovation in this region of the world.
In this interview, we spoke to Natalee Campbell, Marketing Manager at Cambrex, to discuss the importance of regional events such as CPHI North America in reaching out to all relevant stakeholders within the pharmaceutical supply chain.
Can you give an overview of your role at Cambrex and what Cambrex does?
I’m Natalee Campbell, the Marketing Manager for Cambrex so I put on this event and other events. We attend CPHI in Europe as well, as we have a big presence there too. We use these for meetings, building relationships, and being in front of other customers who may not have seen us before. We have been attending these events for many years now and we find them very useful.
What do regional events mean to Cambrex?
We’re looking to do more regional events – we find that certain areas of the country aren’t as accessible, as this event is normally on the East Coast not on the West. Thus, we are trying to do some regional events on the West Coast and maybe even the Mid-West, to expand our reach. We have sites in Colorado and in Iowa, so to get some of our SMEs out to those events is important too.
What are you most looking forward to at CPHI North America this year?
It feels like we’re getting back to where we were pre-pandemic – attendance has increased, presence has expanded a lot, and we’ve had a few acquisitions the last couple of years, most recently in January when we acquired Snap Dragon Chemistry out of Boston. They’re joining us on our booth this year and introducing everyone to Snap Dragon has been really nice for us.
