Pharmacovigilance and Post-Market Surveillance, Caribbean

Pharmacovigilance and Post-Market Surveillance, Caribbean
Product Description

Manufacturers selling into Caribbean markets carry pharmacovigilance and post-market surveillance obligations, with very little capacity in the region to meet them.

Barbados holds genomic sequencing and molecular diagnostics capacity at the Barbados Living Laboratory, launched at the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory in February 2025 by PAHO and the Government of Barbados. That capacity gives regional post-market monitoring a technical base it did not previously have.

BPI's national sector strategy identifies pharmacovigilance and post-market surveillance as a capability to build on that base.

We want to talk to marketing authorisation holders who need this covered, and to pharmacovigilance service providers who could operate it with us.
